AUOMMATON Organizes Capturing Exercise for Loan Applicants in Lagos
The Amalgamated Union of Motor Mechanics and Technicians of Nigeria (AUOMMATON) has taken another bold step toward empowering its members with financial support through the successful organization of a capturing exercise for loan applicants in Lagos.
The exercise was aimed at documenting and profiling members who had applied for BOI loan through the union. This initiative is part of AUOMMATON’s commitment to improving the welfare of its members by creating access to credit facilities that can enhance their businesses and livelihoods.
Speaking during the event, Comrade Julius Adenuga Lawal, the Lagos State Chairman of AUOMMATON noted that the capturing process is a vital step in ensuring transparency, accountability, and proper verification of loan applicants. He explained that the scheme will go a long way in reducing financial burdens on members, allowing them to acquire tools, equipment, and spare parts necessary for their work.
According to him, “This exercise demonstrates our resolve to not only support members with access to loans but also to put in place the right processes that guarantee fairness and credibility. We want every mechanic and technician who benefits from this scheme to know that the union stands by them.”
Participants expressed appreciation to the union leadership for creating the opportunity. Many described the initiative as a timely intervention that will help them expand their workshops, improve productivity, and contribute meaningfully to the automotive sector in Nigeria.
